Franklin Street
Just two miles from the Holiday Inn, downtown Franklin Street is great for people watching, shopping and dining. Downtown Franklin Street is full of small town charm, with ivy-covered brick buildings, stone walls, murals and numerous shops and restaurants. Enjoy homemade ice cream, art galleries, coffee shops, local and national stores.

University Mall
Located half a mile from the hotel, the University Mall is a newly renovated place to shop, with both nationally known and regional stores. Home to A Southern Season.

A Southern Season
If Chapel Hill's village charm and urban sophistication could be blended, you'd find it for sale at A Southern Season. Voted one of the top ten specialty food stores in North America, the store's 28,000 square feet are bursting with a huge selection, backed up by impeccable service. From a vast selection of wines to country ham and Carolina cheese straws, you'll find it all in the very best of taste. http://www.southernseason.com/

Southpoint Mall
Located only 4 miles from the hotel. Shop at over 150 stores in the SouthPoint Mall. This mall offers stores both inside the mall and outside on main street.  http://www.thestreetsatsouthpoint.com/

Carr Mill Mall
This community treasure, a restored 1898 cotton mill, is home to a collection of one-of-a-kind shops. The shops specialize in gifts, designer fabrics, specialty clothing, serious art, jewelry, and many other non-typical mall items. The building, which was rescued in 1975, is now a national historic landmark.

Eastgate Shopping Center
Located directly across from the mall, this is one of the liveliest shopping centers in town, probably because it is home to some of Chapel Hill's most interesting and well-known stores. Come here for an excellent selection of contemporary furnishings, gourmet foods and wines, artwork, and jewelry.
